Make a QR code with a photo inside, free
Want a QR code with a photo in it? QRPetal turns any picture into the code itself: your photo stays visible, and small black and white marks are added only where a QR reader needs them. It is free to use, you do not need an account for your first codes, and every code is checked before you download it.
How to make one
- Open the editor and choose a photo from your phone or computer (PNG or JPEG, up to 10 MB).
- Type your link, or any text up to 4,096 characters.
- Pick a style. “Photo first” shows the most photo, “Easy scan” gives the strongest code.
- Check the scan score and download your PNG.
Tips for the best result
- Photos with one clear subject and good contrast work best.
- Shorter links give bigger dots and a calmer pattern, which shows more of your photo.
- Keep important details away from three corners of the square: that is where the position markers go.
- Always test with your phone before printing many copies.
Is it really free?
Yes: making and downloading photo QR codes is free, within a daily preview limit. Free codes are static, so the link is stored in the pattern and they never expire.
