A vCard QR code holds a contact card: your name, phone, email, company and website. When someone scans it, their phone offers to save you as a new contact. It is popular on business cards and name badges.

A contact card form is on our roadmap, along with Wi-Fi, email and SMS codes. It is not ready yet, and we would rather tell you that than pretend.
What you can do meanwhile
- Link to a contact page. Make a photo QR code that opens your website’s contact or “about me” page, which can offer a downloadable contact file. With an editable code you can change the page later.
- Type the vCard yourself. QRPetal’s editor accepts any text up to 4,096 characters, and phone cameras understand the vCard text format. A minimal example:

END:VCARDKeep it short: every extra field makes the pattern denser, with smaller dots and less of your photo visible. Test the finished code with more than one phone to make sure it offers to save the contact.
Good to know
A vCard code is always a static code: the details are stored in the pattern itself, so it cannot be edited or counted after printing. If your phone number changes, you need a new code. That is one reason many people prefer a link to a contact page instead.
